What will I see on my ballot?

Oregon law (ORS Chapter 250) requires a ballot title for every measure that appears on your ballot. It helps voters understand what they are being asked to decide. A ballot title will include three parts:

Caption: identifies the subject of the measure.

Question: states the purpose of the measure in a yes-or-no format.

Summary: briefly explains the measure and its major effects if approved.

The ballot itself will include the caption and question and depending on the space available on the ballot, the county elections official may also include the summary. The voters’ pamphlet provides additional information, including the full ballot title and explanatory statement to help voters understand the measure before casting their vote.

If the Town Center Development District measure is on the November 3 ballot, voters will receive information in the official voters’ pamphlet before Election Day and will also see the measure listed on their ballot, just like any other measure.
