How is the Town Center Plan related to a potential Urban Renewal District?
Are they the same?
They are related but separate. The Town Center Plan, adopted in 2019, is the long-range vision for the Wilsonville Town Center. A potential urban renewal district would be one critical tool to help fund the projects called for in the Plan, such as roads, utilities, and parking facilities. These types of investments encourage the development envisioned in the Plan. Establishing an urban renewal district would not change the Town Center Plan itself.
